ABOUT THE DESIGNER

I'm Amanda Schuermann (Newcomb) and I am a visual artist, designer, and educator who grew up right here Down Cape. I graduated from Nauset Regional High School in 2007 and earned my BFA in Art Education from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2011. Soon after, I earned my MFA from the Dynamic Media Institute at Mass Art in May 2017.

 

My areas of expertise include graphic design, photography, and small business branding and customer experience design. It brings me great joy, working with small business owners who have big dreams!

In addition to freelancing, I have been teaching art, design, photography, and digital media for over thirteen years. Currently, I am the Monomoy Regional High School's Visual and Performing Arts Department Chair and Visual Arts Teacher.

Outside of work, I am an avid ocean race sailor and have a passion for nautical photography.
